Dead Beat Film Society

We are the Dead Beat Film Society. Every meeting someone picks an important film. We all watch the film then meet back up to discuss it. Along with a discussion of why the film is important, we analyze the film making, acting, directing, and discuss our personal thoughts and opinions.

Apocalypse Now? Like NOW now? Oh come on I just made a plate of nachos!
Join the Dead Beat Film Society as we discuss a very different type of war film, Francis Ford Coppola, a bloated Marlon Brando, Martin Sheen, surfing Robert Duvall, the Vietnam War, the Heart of Darkness novella, actually good voiceover, surreal fever dreams, the weird plantation scene, the even weirder Playboy bunny sex scene, Charlie don't surf!, the differences between the Theatrical Cut, the Redux, and the Final Cut, local grave diggers selling real corpses, the infamous water buffalo sacrifice and draw parallels with Alice in Wonderland.
So grab your board and crank the speakers the chopper leaves in 5 for an in depth Apocalypse Now film analysis!
