Dead Beat Film Society

We are the Dead Beat Film Society. Every meeting someone picks an important film. We all watch the film then meet back up to discuss it. Along with a discussion of why the film is important, we analyze the film making, acting, directing, and discuss our personal thoughts and opinions.

Join the Dead Beat Film Society as we discuss the dinosaur craze of the early 90's, Steven Spielberg (again), Sam Neil, Laura Dern, Samuel L. Jackson holdin' on to our butts, Newman! and the "fat slob" archetype, how boring archeology actually is, the metaphors and great subtext, playing God, capitalism, the great practical effects and how the early 3D effects still holdup, the differences between book and movie (again), how truly great Jeff Goldblum is in this but how he can't really hold a sequel on his own, the reboot Jurassic World movies, lots of Chris Pratt talk, and accepting that at some point this will all become real with an in depth Jurassic Park film analysis!
